Home to a temple, a museum, a prison and a chapel, Madikeri Fort is a fabulous fort. Having great historic importance, the fort was built in the 19th century. The fort was initially constructed with mud but was later rebuilt in stone by the great king Tipu Sultan.

Raja's Seat

Raja's Seat is a hilltop in Coorg which leaves its visitors spell bound by offering them panoramic views. This tourist spot is located amidst forests and is famous for the enchanting views of sunsets. It is believed that once the king of Coorg came to this point to see the beautiful views of his kingdom.

Talakaveri River

Ideally located in the Brahmagiri Hills, Talakaveri River is the source of the river Kaveri.

Irrupu Falls

It is a captivating waterfall located on the Lakshmanatirtha River. This waterfall is considered holy and it is believed that a bath in the waterfall rids one of all his/her sins. During the festival of Shivratri, devotees come here in large numbers.

Abbey Falls

Abbey waterfall is a must-see attraction of Coorg located 8 km from Madikeri. It is surrounded by cardamom and coffee plantations, which adds beauty to its awesome ambiance. It is also a popular shooting location for the filmmakers of Karnataka.

Omkareshwara Temple

Showcasing perfect amalgamation of Keralite, Gothic and Islamic architectural styles, Omkareshwara Temple was built by King Lingarajendra almost 200 years ago. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu.
