ABOUT THE TOUR: A 15 days / 14 nights Manali Leh Motor bike tour with unlimited fun & challenge on bikes crossing World’s top two highest mountain passes. The bike safari involves crossing over high mountain passes providing spectacular views of snowcapped peaks, rugged terrain and traveling through one of the most spectacular & picturesque landscapes in The World. Every year sees more and more bikers attempting this high altitude motor bike ride which must rate as one of the most spectacular in the World. The tour starts from Delhi and ends at Delhi with a drive across high mountain passes, lakes and Monasteries. Come prepared for every possible weather imaginable from scorching sunshine to freezing blizzards, even in mid-summers.

We designed this 13 days motorbike tours combining the adventure & culture part of Trans Himalayas. You are crossing through the world`s highest passes, camping at high altitude remote village, visiting enchanting Monasteries in Ladakh, being the part of Buddhist culture, walking & talking in Leh streets, visiting Shanti stupa, Leh Palace (The Kingdom of Ladakh), enjoying the Tibetan-Ladakhi cuisine in a nice restaurant, meditating in a monastery which have seen generations (1000 years old – Alchi monastery), summiting K-Top (world highest Motorable pass) & after all you are flying back home with fond memories of unforgettable Ladakhi hospitality

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival Delhi

Meet upon arrival at airport and transfer to hotel

Day 02: Delhi/ Manali

Report at 4 PM at Volvo stand to board Volvo coach for an overnight journey to Manali…It will an overnight journey on the coach.

Day 03: Arrival in Manali – Introduction with bikes

Arrive Manali Bus station and transfer to hotel. Afternoon join the bike session where you will be briefed about various aspects of the motorcycle tour like Himalayas, climatic conditions, road safety, high altitude & at last bike handover to you. You will be free to test your bike & have a short ride to be friendly with your friend bike which will going to be with you for next 8 days.

Day 04: Manali/Jipsa (138 kms/6 hrs)

You wake up early in the morning to start your adventure on one of the World's highest road - the Manali-Leh highway. As soon as you leave Manali, the climb for the 13,051 feet high Rohtang Pass starts. After Rohtang, the road descends into the Chandra valley, passing through Khoksar and on to Tandi and reaching Jispa. Your night stay is at our camp site in Jispa. Enjoy the bonfire & dinner in a beautiful settlement on the bank of River Bhaga.

Day 05: Jispa/Tso Kar lake  (225 kms/ 8 hrs)

Today you ride from the lush green landscape to the stark moonscape which Ladakh is famous for. Undoubtedly the best stretch on the Manali-Leh highway, this section of the Manali-Leh highway will feel as if you're on a roller coaster ride climbing up and down from one Himalayan pass to another. A very scenic ride passing through small lakes, waterfalls and streams. You also cross your second high altitude pass - Baralach La - at 16,500 feet. Then Naki La & Tanglang La – the other highest Motorable passes. You will cross Pang ground – a 40 kms flat ground to arrive at Tsokar lake for overnight stay at camp site on the banks of lake. Evening free to walk around the Lake to enjoy its exquisite beauty and to chance upon sighting of endangered Black Necked Crane or Tibetan Ass. You can also visit the Tsokhar village to view local houses and local life.

Day 06: Tsokar/Leh (135 kms/4 – 5 hrs)

Today we start our ride in morning towards Leh town. We start the climb to scale the 2nd Highest Motorable Pass in the World, Tanglang La at 17480 feet and enter into Indus valley, on the banks of which many ancient civilisations have thrived. Once we climb down Tanglang La into the Indus valley, it’s a flat valley flanked by high mountains on its edges and towards one end Leh city is located. We ride to Leh passing across various villages, settlements and Army camps. You will reach Leh by the afternoon. Evening is at leisure to explore the town or walk around the various streets and try some Ladakhi or Tibetan cuisine like momos, thupka etc.

Overnight stay at hotel

Day 07: Leh/Likir/ Alchi (75 kms)

Today we start our ride exploring the Sham valley or lower Ladakh regions. We start the ride from Leh heading towards Likir village & monastery, en-route riding through some enchanting scenic views, visiting Gurudwara Pather Sahib, Magnetic Hill, viewing confluence of river Indus & Zanskar at Nimu. Continue ride towards Likir monastery which is also known as Klu-Kkji (water spirits) and after the visit we continue our ride to Alchi village. On arrival check in at hotel and later walk around the village and cultural Buddhist heritage site – a 1000 years old, living, enchanting & inspiring Alchi monastery.

Day 08: Alchi/Khardungla Pass/Leh

Morning we start our ride back towards Leh and then start our climb to summit the Highest Motorable Pass in the World, The Khardung La at 18480 m. We ride back to Leh town for a relaxed evening.

Day 09: In Leh – free

Today is a free day in Leh (bike is not included). If you wish you may walk down Leh streets, visit Shanti Stupa & Leh Palace in the town, shop around & enjoy the fine dine OR you may hire a local taxi to visit Leh Army Museum, Thiksey Monastery, Hemis & Shey Monastery.

Overnight will be at the same hotel.

Day 10: Leh/Sarchu (250 Kms/09 Hrs) – Riding back

Enjoy bike ride experiences today through Leh/ Tanglang La/ Sarchu following the same route. Overnight stay at tents in Sarchu

Day 11: Sarchu/Manali (233 Kms/08 Hrs) – Riding back

Enjoy bike ride experiences today Sarchu/ Manali. It will be a long ride & we will start this day quite early. Reaching Manali, bike handover & check in at hotel…Evening certificate distribution for successfully completing this journey.

Day 12: Manali/Delhi Overnight Volvo

Morning after breakfast day is free to relax. You are free to walk around Old Manali trying its numerous cafes, walk around village, visit Hadima Devi temple or go for a relaxing dip in sulphur spring water bath at Vashisht

Evening transfer to Manali Bus Station to board on Volvo for Delhi…Overnight on Bus

Day 13: Reaching back Delhi in the morning

Arrive Delhi at around 7 – 8 AM depending on the traffic condition. Transfer from Bus station to hotel

Day 14: Delhi-Agra-Delhi

After early breakfast we drive to Agra (3 hour, one-way) to visit World famous monument of Love – TAJ MAHAL. Later in the afternoon return back by surface to Delhi and spend overnight.

Day 15: Departure Delhi

Transfer to international airport to board onward flight
